october 4 Monday
What a busy day! I got up at 4:45 (thank you kitties) and after a cup of strong full caffeine coffee I made four cat beds/pads from polar fleece. I made a fifth one later in the day. I worked on a stampin up order for my slowly growing little business, went outside and painted some more of the cedar siding and then broke out my John Deere. I loved my "John the Deerest" for mowing this summer and I am loving it for the acorn and leaf pick up this fall. We have many very large oak trees and the acorns are everywhere, it sounds awful when "vacuuming them up but it is oh so easy thanks to the bagging system. More of the same tomorrow if the weather holds.

Where has time gone?
Summer went past in a blur and the autumn is racing past. Summer started with the VERY long awaited visit from my niece Jessica, and the wait was so worth it. We had SUCH adventures, fun and never stopped running. Jess came for three weeks, stayed for a month and we ran out of time so started a list for next year! The zip line at Wildcat is topping our list. My next visitor was my sister Carol and this was another first as well. We laughed, we sewed, we went to quilt shops and shows, got to set up 200+ year old quilt frame stretches and spin wool. My cats got soooo much love and attention, Liz is counting the days until Carol comes back! Carol stayed 25 days and it was wonderful. My last visitor was my Mom who came for two weeks. We spent time with Reese, Mom got her Harley ride (and didn't want the ride to end) and ate tomato sandwiches every day she was here. I drove Mom back to North Bay and while there got to attend a quilt show and help set up the Embroidery Guild's Booth (what a super bunch of ladies). I got back home on September 14 and haven't stopped since. We are doing some renovations on our house so I will keep you posted on the progress with that. I spent today painting the cedar siding a lovely silvery gray (and back priming because the factory priming was awful).
